Anatolian
The Anatolian is a shorthaired cat native to Turkey. It is a strong, muscular cat with back legs slightly longer than the front legs. They can be found in all naturally-occurring patterns and colors, including the van bicolor pattern found in their cousins, the Turkish Van. It is also called the Turkish Shorthair. The Anatolian is a gentle, affectionate cat. Also like the Turkish Van, they can be fascinated by water. Anatolians imported from Turkey as older adults can have trouble adapting to a typical pet cat life.
