BURMILLA

"Asian" describes a group of cats developed primarily in England. These cats are of European Burmese-type but differ as they are vari-colored, patterned and may also have different coat lengths. There are both shorthairs and semi- longhairs in this group.

The variety is endless; tabbies are bred in all recognized patterns. Burmillas, Bombays and Tiffanies fall into this group of cats, and have been included here.

Various breeds within the Asian group are accepted by other associations; the Burmilla, for example, is accepted by the ACF and FIFe. Those looking for Bombays are encouraged to visit the Bombay page.
